Wednesday! :)

Today:
We completed page 58 problems 1-6, and page 59 #5. ALL DUE TOMORROW. 

Tomorrow: 
Media Center lab for time to work on the Rube Project. DUE 4-16-12. More computer lab time on 3/28/12 (Wednesday)

Friday: 
QUIZ over kinematics--solving for Velocity, Acceleration, Displacement, etc.

  • Things to remember: 
    • starting from REST gives you an initial velocity of 0.
    • list ALL givens (example: Vi=56 m/s, x=3 m, t=?) PROVIDE labels for each given and answer
    • Write your "final answers" OUT before putting into significant digits
    • put your FINAL answer in significant digits but DO NOT ROUND in the middle of the problem. STORE your "answers" along the way to use for the final answer.

Rube Work Day in the Computer Lab!
DUE DATE: 4/16/12

Remember to show the energy transfers AND explain each how the energy transfers....such as if you are using the clapper for sound to electical--explain how the clapper works!! Research it! :)  Use resources such as How Stuff Works, Youtube and Teacher Tube.

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Today we did LOTS :)

1. Reviewed the 6 forms of energy that we discussed on Friday

2. Went over Sound Energy, Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy

3. Discussed The Rube Project!
 --Due 4/16/12
--Link to Description AND the grading rubric
--can be virtual or a physical project
--Computer lab time TOMORROW (3/13), Thursday 3/15 and Wednesday 3/28 (all three days are in the Media Center Lab)
 --remember: you can have a partner or go solo!!! If you decide to have a partner and you "Do all the WORK", you both get the same grade so pick your partner carefully!
